We live in a 100+ yr old farhouse. The only thing that goes into the septic is the toilets, everything else goes thru a grease trap. Do a "Google" as they are still available. You'll need to also check with your local BOH as to compling with local regulations as to installation. The drain tile from ours ties into the drain tile from the septic tank & then goes into the leechfield. Ours has been in for over 70 years & still works fine though we do have to clean it every 3-4 years. When the kids were home we had to clean it every couple years.
