Subject: no snow, lots of mud

IN
4-5 inches of wet heavy snow on top of mud by morning. Mostly high tensile fence. I figured the calf would let out a blood curdling bawl and the cows would come running. They usually hang pretty close together. I'm sure they pair up at night and lay in the barn.

I can't imagine how hard it would be to drag a 90 lb. calf up one of these wooded ravines. No buzzards in the winter so they can't help. I have considered the two legged varmits but it doesn't seem likely.

Thanks
