Not a big deal.

When an old Hereford cross cow with an attitude is snorting and blowing snot down your neck, you can't be too particular.


I am not that brave. Just figure why take the chance on a mom like that when I can tag the calf when we work them. It is is nice to get them tagged but not worth an over protective cow going after you. I find cow feeding time when the calf is under a day to 36 hours old is a good time to tag calves, expecally when their mom can be a bitch.
