| easymoney - 5/29/2023 07:34 Absolutely. Plugged several tractors from a standard monitor into advanced seed monitoring after they had it dialed in with the standard monitor. In every situation the advanced seed monitoring was saving an easy two to four percent in seed cost.
How so? If its dialed in, its dialed in. Where is the extra seed savings going to magically appear from? Or did they not have it dialed in to start with?
You can visibly see what is going on in a White seed meter. It was never that difficult to stop and take a look at how many skips/doubles you had in the plates to verify what the old SM 3000 was telling you.
We saw a major seed savings from section control and prescription planting. The seed monitoring aspect didn't change how we operate the planter much at all.
