Subject: White planters

Top middle of MO. land of green hills and grass
Contemplating a change. Been using a planter running JD7000 row units in 20” rows with brush meters for beans. Also have a 8-30 that gets some beans in and plants corn. All no till, quite a bit into standing rye. Running either row cleaners or coulters, and either furrow cruiser or Mohawk closing wheels.

Have a mfwd 7800 Deere with 3 remotes (and I suppose have the loader joystick that would technically add 3 more)

See a White 8523 not far away. What are the good and bad of these? Meters fairly accurate? This particular one is a 12/23.

Second unrelated question. Also need to upgrade my drill. Have a Great Plains that scatters parts at almost the same rate as it does seed. I see a CIH 5400 wi5 radial bean meters. Can other meters be fitted that would let me plant wheat, rye, Sudan or other cover crops?
