Even without square fields, section control pays big, both in seed savings and time savings of picking the planter up on the fly without slowing down. The other big payback on the precision ag part is prescription planting. The seed $'s that can be saved by dropping (corn) population on the less productive soil types is very real.
Those 2 things are far more valuable than the monitor telling you you're only at 98.5% singulation vs the 99.9% singulation that is 100% necessary for growing a good crop.
