East of Broken Bow | When we take a cow in to butcher, like an old cow, we don't get much steak, mostly cube steaks. However, the last time we got both hamburger, and hamburger steak. If I remember right, the hamburger steaks were steak meat (that would have been tough as a steak) and the regular hamburger was roasts and trimmings. I can say the hamburger steaks seemed to be slightly better meat.
Then again, it might have just been a way they could charge us a bit more for processing, who knows, LOL. | |
