| i did the same exact thing only lost my middle finger in the same spot. Did it 30 years ago in a belt and pulley. Old army surgeon fixed it and make sure they get the finger nail out. Hardest things were writing and some personal things when you cant use your hand. Took six weeks for the scab to finally heal but have zero issues today no coldness in the winter and or soar.
Bad feelings for a couple years when you cant clean the dirt under out of that finger nail.
