Around here, in the lower 48 a snowmobile is a snowmobile. Seems like in Alaska they are refered to as snow machines. Where does that change in terminology take place? Do the snowmobile companies have to make a whole new set of advertising and dealer signs that refer to snowmachines, rather than snowmobiles?
