Subject: Drip tape irrigation question

I picked up a couple drip tape applicators cheap on an auction that can lay tape in 8" to 10" deep. I've got a couple acre sweet corn patch that I've always used some overhead sprinklers to water. If I were to switch to drip what would be my best options??? Lay it as deep as possible with heavy tape and try to make it permanent? Buy cheap tape and plan on laying it annually? Suggestions on spacing between tape lines? Emitter spacing? Emitter for rates? If I go with 10" deep can I get away with 60" spacing?
