I had this problem with my 1200 last year. I discovered that the plastic hub that the seed disc is mounted o was cracked on the back side, so it was slipping slightly and giving a lower population. I replaced the hub and solved my problem. I now have a spare on hand as my dealer only had one on hand. Take a look and it mignt be your problem.
