I used John Deere yellow vaspar Aerosol-used about 1/2 a can per box. Biggest thing I found to make it do a good job is to use the newer Fan tips on the cans-instead of the smaller round type. If you buy 1 can of more expensive with the fan tip those will work fine with cheaper paint.

Have to search the site but somebody else used something a little heavier duty and "coated" his boxes. Not sure how much my spraypaint would do a whole lot to reduce fiberglass shedding-but I have never had an issue with that. Aesthetically it made it look a lot better for $40 for 12 cans of spraypaint.
