We have a 20 foot and so far it has been a really precise planting soybeans, 6 years. To lube the drive chains I just spray all the chain that I can and then turn the wheel so I can get the rest. As far as operating tips, have a tractor with high lift rating (these things are heavy on the hitch), and check the closing wheels every time you fill up. To do this I just leave the planter in the ground and then walk around the back and look if any wheels are out of line with the furrow. The rubber seals are a pain, but I just keep a few spares around the shop or in the cab.
