Subject: JD planter wiring harness question

EC IA
Have a JD 7200 8 row flex planter with 200 monitor.
My son was planting & rows 3,4,5,6 & 7 all failed at once.
Was late at night & he had just went through a deep draw.
After looking it over, yesterday, we think that round black connection, in the harness
where several of the seed tube wires come togther, must have got between the 2 center frame
pieceses & got crunched a little bit when the planter flexed. Don't look like it would be
damaged enough to hurt wires on the inside. Is there anything in that round black connector
other than just a place to connect all those wires ? Here is another clue. If we look down in the seed tube, the little red lights are lit. Would think if those lights are working, that the wiring harness
would be ok. Any thoughts ? Is there a way to test the three wires where they connect too the seed tubes ?
