Subject: RE: Planting speed with a Kinze

South central, Nebraska
I'm planting with a 20/20 this season on a 7100 JD. I know it's old but I just can't see putting it out to pasture after seeing how it performs.

The monitor has been very interesting. I am in a dryland and/or irrigated region of Nebraska. I pushed some dryland acres to 6.5 MPH with much better statistics than when I was less than 5 MPH. Most irrigated acres ran from low 5 MPH to high 5 MPH. Seed size and shape was very interesting to watch the singulation. Had to laugh a little when I looked at some performance maps. I ran about 4 bags of leftover seed from last year that had the best planting stats of anything else I put in the ground this year. Maybe I should buy all my seed a year ahead of time and age it first? LOL
