Kittitas Co. Wa. State

Wonderful old pictures !!   Great old barn and silo.

Yup,, Farmers were tough people back then, physical work and tough working conditions.

My Grandfather homesteaded 80 acres, farmed most of his life, did it all with horses and raised a family. Retired well and lived a good life. It was W.O.R.K. hard and physically demanding.

I read some posts where there's complaining because the rough ride of the tractor, that fluid makes for a a rougher ride,, or which music to listen to while riding around in the A/C cab, or the auto pilot refuses to drive the tractor straight, or which steps make it easiest to get in and out of the cab.... (It took Grandpa about 1/2 an hour just to harness up the team, give'm a shot of grain, make sure they were watered up well just to start the day)

Sometimes,,,, I can imagine every 2nd, 3rd, (etc) generation's farmer's grandparents rolling over in their graves.
