Subject: Dawn Curvetines and cornstalk rootballs

Aurelia, Iowa
I am currently running one standard rubber presswheel and one curvetine. This setup worked well planting corn following soybeans under a variety of conditions. However, while planting a field of corn on corn that was chopped for corn silage, the curvetines were getting corn rootballs stuck between the tines once in a while. I am running a 25 wave coulter ahead of the planting unit-no residue wheels. I am wondering if I am going to have problems with the curvetines plugging while planting soybeans in cornstalk ground (no till and cornstalks disked once). Thanks in advance
