| I agree with GP. The earlier Dodges had a VP44 Bosch pump IIRC, and Dodge changed it to some other type about '99, and many started having problems with it. I believe it was about '02 when they went back to the better pump and design. I have a '97 with almost 150K, and first had to replace a lift pump at about 135K, but didn't have to do anything with the injector pump. According to a mechanic I spoke to, the lift pumps only last about 80K anyway. Other than normal maintenance, nothing else has been done with it. My '05 has also been pretty good with no repairs yet.
Edited to add: I forgot about the front U-joints needing to be replaced in the '05. Salty roads in Wisconsin and no grease zerk is a poor mix.
