Subject: RE: Replace Dodge injector pump

Saronville NE
The diesels are hit and miss on luck. Ive had several that were really trouble free and Ive had a couple that were nightmares, We had to put an inj pump in a 94 Dodge last yr. Dad has a 92 chevy w 300k that has never had anything done to it, and has a 01 Dodge, that has burned up the lift pump twice in 125k miles and I keep warning him to get rid of it because, it will be time for a pump soon, because of that, but he thinks it will be like his old chevy. Now have a neighbor that has a 04 Dodge and had an injector go bad, blew a hole in the top of the piston and scored the piston wall and then the piece went thru the turbo instead of ending up in the pan and they want $13k for a complete new motor and turbo, this is all put in, it has 130k on it, he got rid of it and went to a gas burner. Ive got one diesel left and when I get it sold am going back to all gas burners. Theyve ruined this diesel pu thing with all the emission crap on the new ones, and I dont feel like buying a used one that was someones elses promblem.
