| I don't have a manual in front of me, but if I remember right, the filter restriction switch is designed to close and turn on the alarm when the pressure differential across the trans filter goes above 80 psi. You'll need to drill and tap a filter canister to check this. An easier way might be to simply replace the "new" filter. And we are also assuming the wire isn't grounding out somewhere. If all the compartments were not carefully cleaned out, there is enough residue in there after a blow up to quickly plug a filter. One more thing to consider, some of the parts store oils are thicker than the original Hy-Gard. This will also raise the resistance through the filter. |
