I don't remember how to get to the line. The head board and cylinder will come out with out to much work. Take the lines lose and remove the pin and slide the unit towards the back until it clears the track.
I did a rebuild of a JD 780 with parts from Pick Rite. Most parts matched. I did have to drill new holes to mount the angle iron track along the bottom.
