| That's what I was thinking as well. If you have front wheel assist, I just can't imagine having a problem in the field with another 8 rows over what we had on our front fold 16 row 7200. We pulled our 16 row with a JD4840 (I think they're 180 HP?) that does not have FWA. We used to pull it (down the road even) with a 4430. This year we're pulling a 1770 front fold 16 row with a Flexi-Coil 1720 air cart behind it. Well, for that matter we had a 1000 gallon liquid tank behind the 4430 and 7200, but we tried to have it very close to empty by the time we were moving between fields. Going down the road with it was a bit scary and you had to be careful and you were highly dependent on using the brakes to steer.
I know that our neighbors are going to be running their 24 row 1770NT CCS behind an 8530 while pulling a 1910 JD Air cart. | |
