Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums.
I'm glad you brought up the Schumacher knife. I hadn't considered that. I will be using crop lifters on this cutterbar. Can you put lifters on a Schumacher? I am probably going to buy a combine and gut it for running this header. We never really liked the bi-directional like we thought we would. Too much wiggle when steering. We also considered a self propelled swather, but the differential steering won't be good enough in the mud we sometimes cut in. I want a combine with duals and the rear axle pushing. We want to run the elevator out between the combine axles instead of the end of the cutterbar. I'll have to do some serious feederhouse mods.
