| It's a little difficult to explain but I'll try. The attachment has a half moon shape with a flat iron welded to it that bolts on the wheel axle bolt. You face the half moon to the back and as the wheel comes up it is suppose to push out the root balls. I thought these things were sent with all the closing wheels now. I now we complained about this root ball problem to Martin and they sent us these scrapers. I don't know if we had to pay for them or not. We have since replaced the old planter and went with Dawn closing wheels and they don't seem to have this problem and they leave a much smoother field finish | |
