I am overhauling a 4x16 hyrdaulic lift cylinder with 1-3/8" rod. The new seal for the head casting (the one on the clevis end, that the rod goes through) is a polyurethane u-seal--the old seal was an o-ring. I can't get that new seal installed. Any ideas?
I have tried from both sides, twisted it into a figure 8, stood on my head--nothing works.
