Subject: RE: Question for those who use GPS.....

Alberta, Canada
I'm not saying about skipping 10+ rows Chad, I'm saying a couple. In fact, I find it saves time since I'm not ripping around spinning out. ie, when twin-raking hay, at up to 15mph, if I've got to turn around to the next row, I'm down to usually not more than 4mph, sometimes 5, but if I skip a pass and can do a more gradual turn, I can usually go a few mph faster.

Trust me Chad, my headland turns are mighty fast, I don't waste any time. Turning around a 7830 and 12' center pivot discbine, my discbine spent as little as spent 11 seconds a pass not cutting.

Even with the 36' disk behind a 4wd, the inside half of my disk was going backwards when turning, and I only required one headland, without GPS. However, it was definitely not "care-free."

Stopping is nuts, doesn't make any sense since you should never be stopping/starting with the implement in the ground.....?
