Amarillo, TX | My pickup has been doing a few strange things such as not downshifting properly from 5 to 4 under load. This evening it seemed to 'shut down' and all I could do was 65 mph top speed. At this speed the rpm was still near 2000-2100. No matter how much throttle I gave it, the pickup would never go over 65.
When it first started shifting rough I serviced the trans.
Engine light is on (just as of the last 45 miles) and gauges are normal. (oil and temps)
The vehicle is used and I do not know if the injectors were ever warrantied.
Any ideas? Let me know if I can give anymore info but I think I covered most all that I could notice tonight. | |
