Clinton Minnesota
If the field is flat and its a quarter section or 1/2 mile long you will need the ditch or what ever your outlet is to be 5 feet deep if you are going to lay pipe the full length of the field. If the field has any natural grade to it then the outlet depth will be less. Without knowing anything about your field its hard to have any idea what pipes size you need which will determine the cost. If there is no main and it needs to be deep it will be more expensive. If there is a main and you can do smaller subs that can be plowed in it will be considerably cheaper. If its just small laterals it will be fairly reasonable. The key is how good of an outlet you have to dump the water into if you are starting from scratch. If you are trying to catch overland run off from the neighbors and run it down a pipe it could take some large pipes if its a large watershed. So we need a lot more info to be able to answer the questions that you are asking.
