Subject: how long should we dry lumber before putting insulation back in a wall?

We are finally getting the building repaired that had the roof sucked off in late December. Took a while to get every one on the same page. We have pulled the interior walls apart that were insulated and found that the insulation was dripping wet, that we expected. Morton is supposed to pull the outside skin off the portion of the building where our shop is. It is what they call their energy saver, a double wall insulation package. They felt it would be easier to take the skin off the outside than to have to clear the walls on the inside of the shop to get to it that way.

What I'd like to hear is how long everyone thinks we should leave the wood open and exposed to the air to dry before putting the insulation back in.

On the interior walls they are simple 2x4 construction where we built an office and bathroom and used insulation to keep it warmer as well as quieter. We can keep them open as long as we need to.

The exterior walls are 8" thick. On the inside the top third or so of the tin is perforated that would allow a little ventilation, but not much. Our typical day this time of year has lows in the 30's and 40's and high's in the 60's.

I know we don't want to put the insulation right back, but just how long should we try and dry it out and what if it rains again inbetween?

Any comments are appreciated.
