Subject: RE: grain cart compaction

Have some friends here with a Kinze 840 or 850 on 30.5s and a 1050 on the 76-50/32 logger tires and when it gets muddy they say the 1050 gets around in the field much better than the smaller cart with smaller tires.  From what I've seen with our Brent 774 cart on 30.5 tires the tractor pulling it with duals will usually make more of a track than the cart does because the skinny tires push mud out while wide tires tend to hold the mud under the tire.  We want to upgrade to a 1,000 bushel cart this year and won't consider one without either loggers or tracks.
