I'd use the duals as long as they don't run on top of the row. I use to have a 5100 6 row Mostly used a 1650 but had a 77 all the way up to a 2-135 on it. All with duals. The tractor is a lot more stable and I find it easier to drive streight with duals. I never ran much air pressure in the dual. The compaction from the dual never caused any trouble with the roots in the pits I dug.
