West Texas near Lubbock
The reinke recommended grease is called sprinkler lube 1200. Go to sprinklerlube.com and look at their video. They send out a free dvd with a demo and lots of testimonials.

With movement, the grease becomes a fluid and flows into the bearings and over the gears. Without movement the grease becomes a sticky solid and will not flow out. The grease esentially makes its own seal and prevents water from entering the gearbox.

I just purchased a 55 gal drum for $1,600. It cost about $25 per gearbox to fill with this lube. If it works as advertised, it will be a bargain.
