Subject: RE: leaky pivot gear boxes

Pasco WA.
I drained all the oil out every gearbox on a pivot and refilled with the Reinke grease last spring. Was not cheap but the seals were shot and they wouldn't hold oil. Rented pivot so I didn't feel like replacing all of the gearbox's. So far the greese looks real good. Can not detect any leakage. Couldn't find any water in them last fall so I plant to run them till they fail without ever servicing them again. I am even considering converting more pivots over to the greese just to avoid the annual servicing.
