Central Iowa | We run ours on manual all the time we thing the auto is a joke. Look at where the prop is applied to the hay and were the moisture sensor is located. It takes a a third of a bale before the moisture sensor will pic it up. Watch the moisture sensor reading and how much it very's over the field. We felt that in Auto mode we were putting the preservative on the dry hay and none on the wet wads that may come through. When baling a field you no where the wet hay is and anticipate it therefore can do a much better job in application. We have been able to get away with baling 25% hay this way. | |
