| I had the same problem on my 1973 4630. Everyone above is right. The steering cylinder and the steering pump need replacing or rebuilt. I had the pump rebuilt and made it worse. They took the cylinder out and it was pitted bad, so they replaced it. Mind was the older style of steering. It is very dangerous to drive it down the road. When it gets all the way to one side and you compensate with the steering wheel it will shoot all the way to the other side and throw you to that side. You can catch it in the field in field gears but not on the road in road gear. It needs fixed. Especially if some is driving it and they aren't used to it. | |
