Leesburg, Ohio | We had a similar problem with ours. In our case it would raise, but the wings would raise slowly or not at all, and would droop down as soon as you let go of the hydraulic lever. We rebuilt the cylinders without results. Finally took the valve apart on the tongue apart that changes from plant to transport, and found the problem: If you remove the valve handle, you will find four small plungers about the size of pencil erasers. These plungers will get rusty and dirty, and seize up, staying depressed in their holes, when they should spring back out toward the handle when the handle is turned. I tapped VERY GENTLY and kept spraying PB Blaster on them, and they finally popped loose. Wings now raise and lower with the main frame, and they stay rephased. Even if you put a new valve on it, I would remove the handle (you don't have to get into the valve, just remove the handle base) and make sure those plungers are free to work in and out. | |
