No, anything that hit the ground was treated; definetly worried about rot. At the time, this was the cheater way to go and we made better poles as they should not twist or warp now. We used PL400 or Liquid Nails between the boards and approved 3 1/2" deck screws staggered throughout (both ways on the center boards and then to attach the outer 2 to the sandwich).
