For the biggest farm support program in Canada (which doesn't really mean much) we are just getting headlines in the newspaper that we should get the application forms for 2007 yes that is right 2007 tax year buy march, which really means may/june with payment this calander year if we are lucky. (This is for 2007 did I mention) and will likely only be about 3% of "net eligeable sales" which means not very much. Contrast that with higher equipment costs, lower yields, higher moisture, more trucking costs, higher fuel and fert, and it is no wonder people are getting out. | |
