| Replace the plastic cap each time, any little scratch, marring on surface will ruin new bungee/return cord and you get to do it all over again.
One word of advice, replace bungee cord BEFORE it completely breaks. If you wait until it breaks, chances are it will "snap", sending plastic pipe and bungee cord flying back toward back end of trailer (inside tarp roll up pipe). This plastic pipe is hard to fish out as there are several screws in roll up pipe that plastic pipe will catch on as you try to get it out. | |
