No secret really, i just didn't know how it came off. Get a good size vise-grip and start turning it back-n-forth while pulling out. It comes out pretty hard, Make sure to take the screws out if it has any in it. Pull out the pipe with old bungie cord in it, replace cord, tie not, reinstall, tap plastic tab back in and your good to go.
