| I wouldn't recommend the 6.0 as I've had two of them and both had lots of problems. I have one of the first 2008's with a 6.4 and love it. Besides a couple of recalls it hasn't been in the shop. Some people complain about the mileage but mine has been just as good as my previous 6.0's and there's no turbo lag. I hated the 6.0's for having to pull out in traffic especially with a trailer as one time you could push the pedal and it would take off and the next time it took a couple seconds before it moved where the 6.4 takes off just like a gas engine. We also have a F-250 with a 5.4 and have no complaints on that motor and from the way it sounds how you are gonna use it I think you might be better off with the gas motor. Ford will be coming with their own diesel I believe for the 2010 model and they are claiming quite a bit better mileage but who knows how the urea injection will work with the new emissions. After the 6.0 disaster I'm glad Ford is getting rid of International engines. | |
