central - east central Minnesota - | Gas vs. Diesel ? Occasional towing ? Diesel has just gotten to the same price as gas here last friday $1.89 gal / each. Given past performance - I'd opt for a gas truck instead of diesel due to up front costs - gas engine is less $$, fuel has been less $$ (and I believe it will continue into the future) and fuel consumption between the two vehicles is pretty much the same (unless you are towing). If I were buying a new (different) pickup today, it would most likely be gas - I've had diesel pickups since mid 80's . |
