Grabill, Indiana | My wife and I decided we need to consolidate vehicles and purchase a new/used pickup truck. We currently have a 94 F250 that we will keep for a beater truck to haul parts, fuel, wagons, etc. We want to get a nice F250 for pulling trialers over the road and general travel, we will keep the dirty work for the 94.
We just started looking so are not sure what we excactly want. Ford has an $8000 customer cash on 2008's, but we found a 2006 with 40,000 miles and the 6.0 L Power Stroke for $26.xxx. My question for you all are:
Is it worth sticking the the 6.4 L powerstroke rather than the 6.0?
Would you go with the diesel versus the 5.4 L gas for occasional trailer pulling and general transportation?
My brother in law sells Chevies so he is wanting me to give him a chance, but we have been a Ford Truck family for decades. I don't know if I can even stomach the thought of even negotiating on a chevy.
