Central Kansas | Had an 0ldtimer that wore nothing but cowboy boots. He told me that when he buys a new pair, he fills them with "oats" (honest to God truth), throw them in a stock tank over night, gets them the next morning, dumps the oats out and wears them untill they are dry. Says the Oats puts the strech in the leather and the wet to dry will "form to you feet". I know, sounds far fetched but this is what he claimed he did.
I would shutter to think of throwing $150 pair of boots in a tank of water!
I wear Peco's #1155 and really like them and I don't throw mine in the tank.
