Roxio has a software suite called Easy media Creator 9. In it is a Sound editor that will do what you want. I have used it once, but just to play around with. Never saved anything. It is easier to use than Audacity, however it comes with a price. I think $80 to$100. But you get a whole lot more than just sound editing. I think it might fit with what you do. Look them up. I think it's well worth the money.
