Subject: Re: Any reason for krause landsman unpopularity

Leesburg, Ohio
We have both a 21' Landsman that we pull with an 8300 or a 4450 Deere, and a 35' DMI Tiger Mate and crumbler that we pull with a Cat 75. Both do a nice job, and handle trash pretty well. The DMI leaves a slightly more level surface (side-to-side). They both leave the surface very smooth going with the rows, as long as the are few winter annual weeds present. Lots of winter annuals will start to form clumps, more so with the Landsman. The older Landsman models (3000 series) will be cheaper that current models (6000 series??) but clearance may be a problem on the older ones. Your cat should handle a 31' OK, at least in soils I am familiar with.
