Subject: 2188 seperator clutch

On our 2188 the rotor, fan, feeder house, and other seperator componets slow down when we run any speed over 2mph with a 30 ft head in 50bu beans. When we talked to a service guy over the phone he says that it is main drive belt slipping but we don't smell any burnt belt and the rotor will slow from 600 to 400 rpm so I would think that you would smell if the belt slipped that much. My question is could it be the seperator clutch and how hard is it to repair it? Any tricks to do the job? Am I missing something else that I should be looking at? Is there a way to test the clutch?
