First, try not to grab the hydro lever quite so tightly.. Try to relax your hand and let go every once in a while to stretch.

The nerve that is responsible for sensation in your hand is called the median nerve. It runs down your arm and then on the palm side of your wrist were it splts to different fingers, including your middle finger. You are probably pinching this nerve somewhere, or if it is only that single finger -- somewere close to your finger.

In addition to hand stretch and excersize, I would suggest wearing a gove. Hardcore bikers wear gloves that have special pads on the heel of your hand so to preven their fingers from going numb. I would go to a bike shop and get a pair of these to try. I'm not sure if you can get something like that at Wal Mart, but any sporting goods store would have them.

You could also be pinching an artery and your fingers are getting short changed on blood flow. Stretching your hand every round or something like everytime you unload will help.
