Frost,Mn | Our small town of 200 people is still fortunate to have an ambulance.We as firemen respond to the daytime and sometimes evening pages to help lift or carry.Sometimes the gals that are around during the day are not capable of getting someone down stairs or carrying a heavy person to the cot.We are also allowed to drive the ambulance but in no way are we viewed as an EMT,There is always 2 EMT's in the rig before it moves.With all that said we have one training meeting a year to show us how to operate the cot to get it to fold for loading and unloading and show us where things are located as we get sent to retrieve things.
