So without a timeframe being determined it is obvious that the system will pay for itself in fuel savings, that should not be open to debate. Now it may take a decade but it will pay for itself. Here, our big tractor has covered over 15,000 acres with the same system. 15,000 x 4% overlap saved=600 acres.. 600 x .75=450 x $3.50= $1575 saved. No doubt headed in the right direction. A long way from the pay off. I stated my take on this referring mostly to people who have had steer for a year or two and proclaim it's already paid for itself (in fuel alone in some cases). Everyone has heard some outlandish claims by the auto steer people at one time or another. I'm just sayin' No hard feelings MDare |
